The Consumer Guide is run by the Club for Protection of Consumer Interests within the framework of Latvian National Association for Consumer Protection and is an independent Latvian consumer gateway to their rights, online assistance and accurate information to help consumers make an individual choice when purchasing goods and services. It is the only consumer resource site of such kind on Internet in Latvia.

This Guide focuses on the issues causing concern among consumers and provides online access to useful information in order to educate consumers in the field of their rights and legislation and to provide them with practical advice to reduce the number of complaints and violations of rights.

The information in English has been elaborated under ADICAE's "Europe's Growing" project, funded by the European Commission's DG Enlargement ("Call for proposal No 2003/072-475 Enlargement: the new face of the EU").
